Court Security Division

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office Court Security Division protects the citizens of Chisago County by providing security for the entire Government Center and individual court rooms.

Employment

The Court Security Division consists of a sergeant and 10 full and part-time employees whose primary duty is to provide protection and maintain a safe and orderly environment within the Chisago County Government Center. Three employees are assigned to the courtrooms to provide security for high profile and/or high-risk hearings, ensure compliance with judicial orders, enforce rules of the court, make warrant arrests and take subjects into custody when remanded by the court.

Volunteers

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office, through a partnership with Volunteers of America - RSVP Minnesota, utilizes the services of volunteer bailiffs.
