What do family home visiting nurses do?

  • Help mom care for herself during pregnancy
  • Prepare family for birth and postpartum
  • Provide parenting and breastfeeding education and support
  • Promote baby and child’s health and wellbeing
  • Help family create a safe home for their child
  • Connect family with resources including insurance, financial assistance, childcare, school/job options and other helpful community services
  • Set and support families in reaching their goals

Family Small Group

This group provides an opportunity for meeting new moms and asking questions about parenting. Nurses will have parenting topics for discussion. 

Education Classes

Baby Café is a Breastfeeding gathering for Moms, Babies and Moms to be. Join us for mom to mom encouragement and meet other breastfeeding moms in your area. A Lactation Consultant will be available to help answer questions and baby weight checks are available. No registration or appointment is needed.

Baby Café sessions are held every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the North Branch Area Education Center, which is located at 38705 Grand Avenue in North Branch, MN 55056.

*Baby Café will be closed when North Branch Area Schools have weather related school closings.
