Trail Rules
Become informed on the rules for all trails in the community.
Reservations are NOT necessary to use our Regional Trails. However, registration is necessary if large events are planned on the trails. A large event is one that will add significant traffic to the trails and might hinder its use by others during this time. You must register all events with greater than 30 participants by contacting the County Parks Office at 651-213-8960.

Funding Assistance

The Sunrise Prairie Regional Trail is being developed in part with funding assistance from the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment. The trail has received 2014 Fiscal Year funding of $75,000; and 2016 Fiscal Year funding of $1,107,000 for rehabilitation and reconstruction purposes. Local match funds and support are also critical in the trail development. The City of North Branch also recently sought Legacy funding for new segments F & G of the trail and is receiving 2016 Fiscal Year funding of $719,248.
The Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail is a trail of regional statewide significance and is being developed in part with funding assistance from the Clean Water Land and Legacy Amendment. The trail has received 2014 Fiscal Year funding of $1,338,000; 2016 Fiscal Year funding of $157,500; and is projected to receive 2017 Fiscal Year Funding of $719,248. Local match funds and support are also critical in the trail development.
The Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail - Interstate State Park Project. Funding for this project was provided by the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund as recommended by the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR).
