1. Who is the County Sheriff?: Brandon Thyen is the Chisago County Sheriff. He can be reached via email or by calling 651-213-6301.

2. Who is the Chief Deputy?: Justin Wood is the Chisago County Chief Deputy and can be reached via email or by calling 651-213-6302.

3. How do I pay court fines?: Please visit the Court Administration Offices to pay your fines.

4. How do I get a permit to carry?: View the Firearms Permits Page, or print the permit to carry a pistol application.

5. Can I pay any Sheriff's Items with a credit card, debit card or electronic check?: Yes, as of April 27, 2017 Chisago County began accepting payments by credit card, debit card or electronic check for the following fees: - Civil Process Fees/Services - Records Requests Fees. Note: A 2.5% ($2.00 minimum) fee will be assessed when paying with a credit/debit card or a $1.50 fee will be assessed for eChecks up to $10,000. You have the option of using the Online Payment of Sheriff’s Items Link for credit card, debit card or electronic check (eCheck).

6. When paying Sheriff's Items online, can I make a partial payment?: Chisago County Sheriff's Office does NOT accept partial payments. All payments for fees/services MUST be paid in full. These are accepted by credit/debit card (either online or in our office), cash, check, or money order/cashier's check. You can send payments by mail or make the payment in person at our office.

7. Can I pay Sheriff's Items over the phone?: Chisago County Sheriff's Office does not accept payments over the phone. Payments can be made in person (cash, check, money order/cashier's check, or credit/debit card), via mail (cash, check or money order/cashier's check), or via online payment (credit/debit card or electronic check).

8. Do I need to submit a separate payment if I'm paying on more than one Sheriff's Item online, or in person with a credit card/debit card?: No, you can add payments to different fees on the same transaction when paying with a credit/debit card. You have the ability to add multiple payments to your purchase.
