1. Will all or parts of my property along Highway 8 need to be acquired? If so, how will I be contacted?

Significant effort will be put into developing a solution for Highway 8 that minimizes impacts to private property. Project impacts are unknown at this time, however, there will be a need for the County to acquire some amount of permanent and temporary easements for roadway improvements, utilities, trails and sidewalks. The County will be notifying property owners by mail in 2021 and/or early 2022, and then meeting with them individually.

2. Will there be any assessments to my property?

The County does not assess properties for roadway improvement projects. The Cities involved may have their own assessment policies, depending on the outcome of the project.
