Segments of trail on both the Sunrise Prairie Regional Trail and the Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail have available segments to adopt/sponsor. Check out our [Adopt-A-Trail Map with Segments] = LINK (PDF) to view what is currently available.

Sunrise Prairie Regional Trail = 7 segments

Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail = 3 segments

3. How long are each trail segment?

Segments range from 1.4 miles to 3.1 miles.

4. What are the trail segments on the Sunrise Prairie Regional Trail?

Segment 1:  3.1 miles (Start of the Sunrise Prairie Regional Trail to Wyoming Trailhead)

Segment 2:  2 miles (Wyoming Trailhead to Snowmobile Crossing)

Segment 3:  2.1 miles (Snowmobile Crossing to Stacy Trailhead)

Segment 4:  2.0 miles (Stacy Trailhead to Trail Bridge)

Segment 5:  1.9 miles (Trail Bridge to Athens Trailhead)

Segment 6:  2.8 miles (Athens Trailhead to 375^th Street)

Segment 7:   1.4 miles (375^th Street to North Branch Trailhead)

5. What are the trail segments on the Swedish Immigrant Regional Trail?

Segment 1:  1.8 miles (Interstate State Park Entrance to Tern Avenue Trailhead)

Segment 2:  2.4 miles (Tern Avenue Trailhead to Shafer Trailhead)

Segment 3:  1.9 miles (Shafer Trailhead to Quandam Road)

6. What is required to adopt a segment of trail?

• Hike the adopted trail at least four (4) times a year during the months of April, June, August, and October as well as after storm events and fill/submit a report identifying observations, hazards, or concerns.
• Pick up trash along the trail or report larger debris items for removal.
• Commit to maintaining/monitoring designated section for a minimum of two (2) years.
• Provide proof of liability insurance.
• Submission of completed Adopt-A-Trail Sponsorship Application.
• $250 non-refundable payment per year for each Trail Segment Adoption Sponsorship payable January 31^st annually.
